Cooling Off

The other day, trying to find some reference photos of horses, I came across this one that I had taken years ago at the Del Mar racetrack. Looking at it for awhile got me inspired to do a painting of the image. So here it is, an 8x10 oil on canvas board

Wolly One

I am sitting here in my studio and thinking "what a nice warm sweater could be knitted from this wool" and that's why I enjoyed painting it. Probably not the subject matter I'd think about in August.
